Current Resident: My time in Dalton was characterized by a loving, supportive community. During my high school career, I was astounded when as many people would show up to the choir concert as the varsity football game. Whenever a team made it to the state tournament, you would see signs in everyone's front yards wishing them good luck, and the parking lot would be filled with parents, grandparents, students, and well-wishers who would crowd around and send them off. Softball games were as big of an event as drama productions, and because of these people, I can truly understand the importance of a supportive community.... Read 6 reviews

Former Resident: The school district is very conservative. However, the local schools academics are rather nice and are quite high for public schools. The area is very safe, one could walk around at night with absolutely no worries of safety. The area is very family friendly, no gangs, quite conservative. Nearby Resident: Creston is a small town so it is very family friendly. It is very rural and there is a lot of farmland. Akron and Cleveland are about 30 minutes to an hour away. Columbus is about and hour and a half away. There are a few minor cities near Creston like Wooster and Medina to go to for jobs, etc... Being so rural and small the public schools are small as well. The local school graduates about 120 per class. The school is very supported by the community. Again due to being rural, it is not very diverse. Niche User: Our police force is in the very center of my town, my town is notorious for being a speed trap with officers known for pulling over drivers for going a few over, so most people who drive in my town know better than to speed. My town is also a dry town so alcohol related issues are not a problem.... Read 4 reviews

Niche User: The little town of Burbank is amazing to me. i"ve lived there my whole life with my family and friends surrounding me. Most of my family lives on the same road. We also have a local bull riding thats right here in Burbank, Ohio that occurs once a month during the summer. Niche User: I've been here a year and I haven't had any problems with anyone in my neighborhood. It's also a 20-minute drive from 4 medium-sized cities while remaining strictly rural. Current Resident: Marshallville is a very quaint little town in the Ohio valley. All the businesses are local except for our Subway, so it's very easy to support the local life. Everyone is kind and often very helpful if you need something. I wish there were more job opportunities for teenagers. Works Here: I’ve enjoyed my experience working in this small town. Though it may not be large, it is still an interesting place to visit, and manages to be a stop on many tourists drive through amish country. Lehmans Hardware is located in Kidron, a fascinating mix of antique and off the grid living products, as well as boasting many other items. There’s also a well stocked grocery store, a cute little fabric shop, and several restaurants.
