Senior: My experience at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Florida was great! I had the best high school experience here. I would totally recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going here. The school spirit is amazing, everyone is always involved which makes you feel welcomed. The education is great and definitely prepared me for college. The worst part about the school is the lunch that is provided and the uniforms. The lunch does not taste very good and there is not a lot to choose from. For uniforms, you can only wear pants and a colored shirt is a must. There is no other options for uniforms. Junior: Archbishop Edward A McCarthy is an amazing school. From sports, to religion, to academics, and so much more. A high school like this is exactly what you should be looking for when enrolling your child. Mccarthy has a big involvement with apple which helps faculty provide another level of education to the students that they wouldn’t get in another school. Religion is very big it is the center of the whole campus and is just such a good and healthy environment for students to be around and has everyone connect spiritually on a different level. Sports also play a big roll, there is something for everyone and teachers are understanding of our student athletes. Personally my favorite thing about the school is how much they actually prep you for college. The way they teach and give you assignments will help you prepare for the real world. Alum: Nativity Catholic School is still a great school after a few years since having been a student. The teachers are all very well prepared and always put the students best interest first. Nativity also offers great extracurricular activities outside of academics for students to immerse themselves with either music, creative arts, drama, and of course athletics! Middle school student: St. Bonaventure is an average school, the teachers acn be mean sometimes but that is because they want you to learn from your mistakes. I'm not agreeing that they should be yelling at their students or calling them stupid, but some of them are trying to teach you what's right and what's wrong. I feel like the academics aren't great, just because all some of the teachers do is give you a Kahoot and call it a day for reviewing. There is a bullying problem, I have been bullied specifically because of my ADD and not being able to focus or sit still, but that's besides the point. Most girls in the middle school think they're the best and they deserve everything. The boys too. We do have great religion classes and teachers. They know what they're talking about. I wouldn't recommend this school who thinks their child won't get anything out of it but a waste of time. Parent: School admin is compassionate, but yet strict ensuring the student life is happy yet still well behaved. Goal is always to help the student succeed. Teachers provide the student learning opportunities to improve in areas where they may struggle, they work with the student rather than mandating strict guidelines. Campus is beautiful, with well maintained school grounds, a beautiful new indoor Gymnasium, and the church that’s has always been welcoming to all, with Fr John leading both church and school. We looked around for other options - St Lawerence was a godsend what a lovely little school with wonderfully caring and competent teachers.
