The duration of the four years at Pembroke High School meant that me and my peers were set up to adhere to assignment deadlines and burning ourselves out for academic validation. Pembroke High School located in Pembroke Massachusetts was part of the dated learning environment, that did not cater to those who were more kinesthetic learners and who benefited from engaging active participation instead of passively listening to a lecture.
I also believe that my school instilled the idea that satisfactory grades would make or break your GPA, which in turn, led some students to be convinced that it was tied to their self-worth. This negatively affected the students who had trouble with school and were not necessarily left-brained individuals. My educational institution taught students that if we did not necessarily understand information, it would be in our best interest to just memorize it. Resulting in not being able to apply facts and information in the correct setting.

My experience at Pembroke High School has been, for the most part, a memorable one. My best experiences have definitely been within my involvement in a large variety of clubs, where I feel free to express myself and enjoy my interests. I have also experienced positive relationships with most of the teachers I have interacted with as they have created a positive and supportive learning environment. Even the cafeteria and office workers have shown me kindness that I will never forget. The worst parts of my experience, however, have definitely been within the guidance department as I feel that I have not been properly heard or supported when I ask for help. I would very much like to see an improvement in this department of my school as I believe this would create an even more co.fortable and supportive environment for students.
Great AP classes. I took AP biology and AP Chemistry and they both greatly prepared me for college. Pembroke high school has amazing teachers that were invested in my learning. I played sports every season and has great coaches.
