Freshman: I am absolutely loving ASU so far! I am currently a freshman and I’ve already met so many incredible people and had such wonderful experiences. The Greek life is so fun, it allows so many opportunities for community service and connections. Only thing I might like to see change is the dorms. Freshman: My experience at Grand Canyon University has been amazing. Originally, I planned to attend community college, but after a series of events, I found myself enrolling at GCU. The admissions team was incredibly persistent and helpful, making the process easy, especially as the first in my family to go to college. I had the opportunity to attend the Discover Trip, where GCU covered my ticket and meals. The campus is beautiful, with plenty of wildlife, and there’s always something happening—worship nights, basketball games, and even a 5k race during Parent’s Weekend. As an Elementary Education major, I loved the smaller class sizes, which provide more one-on-one time with professors. During the trip, I toured dorms, apartments, and the education building, and I’m excited about the resources GCU offers for future teachers. I can’t wait to start in January 2025!... Senior: My experience at Arizona State University - Downtown Phoenix Campus has been incredibly enriching. I loved the vibrant atmosphere, where the energy of the city blends seamlessly with the academic environment. The accessibility to diverse resources and opportunities for hands-on learning truly enhanced my education. However, I would like to see more green spaces and outdoor seating areas for students to relax and collaborate outside the classroom. A few more community events focused on student engagement would also be a great addition to foster a stronger sense of belonging among students. Freshman: This school is absolutely amazing. The staff is very kind and considerate, i have never had a problem with any of them. They actually are the only school that called me back & consistently made sure i felt welcome throughout the entire application process. They are the only school that offers the full spectrum of Digital art i was looking for- everything from art, Animation, and game design. Finding UAT was like finding my calling, my purpose. I hope to continue being a student and pursue those dreams i have of making art a career instead of just a hobby; but it entirely relies on my ability to receive scholarships. Senior: Attending Arizona State has been one the best decisions I have ever made. If it weren't for this University my life would be so different. If I could go back and choose a college again, I would choose ASU. From the very beginning, moving into my dorm, meeting strangers that have turned into life long friends, experiencing campus life, everything that been such a great experience. When I talk about my college life, I smile and laugh because it has truly been such a fun experience. While academics brought me to ASU, challenges and times of adversity could have easily distracted me enough to walk away. If it were not for the academic support and understanding of the Dean's, Professors and staff here, I know I would not have been able to achieve what I have at ASU. Sophomore: Being a minority here at Arizona State University as an entity it is quite unwelcoming and standoffish. My professors her on the West Valley Campus are very helpful and knowledgeable on the subject they are teaching, and always open to help. The food here is mediocre and plain and seems like they've never heard of seasoning. Dorms here however are on the way better side as they have built a new 2024 edition dorm very cute very demure. Even though these are accelerated courses, it doesn't seem like it. The instructors are more than willing to assist with any help needed. Sophomore: I will start with the only downside, if you have classes to transfer in that are 10 years or over, you will be retaking those classes again. Other than that, this is an amazing school and all of the staff are personally invested in your success. They really go out of their way to insure that you grasp the information and prepare you for the NCLEX. I recommend this school to anyone interested in a nursing career. Alum: The advisors and professors were very patient, understanding and willing to go above and beyond for their students success. During my undergraduate experience, a major loss took place that shook my world and left me, well, distracted. Those involved in my education came to my side, aided me through this, and encouraged my success. When I found I was unable to continue funding my degree my advisor was able to assist me with locating every possible option to maintain my path and gain my degree. I began my higher education four previous times in my adult life, and Ottawa and those involved in my educational plan held me through life events and moments that held the potential of turning that 'four previous times' into a five. I am so grateful for the advisors, administrators, and professors I was blessed to encounter, whether in-person, or online; the connection and dedication to my success was honest, ethical, encouraging, and welcoming. Freshman: I was enrolled in 2019-2020. I began but didn't finish because of Covid. I am a single mom of 5 kids. I had a full time job and then had to let it all go because I was then taking on the education of my own children at home and had to relinquish my computer and time to meet the needs of my children's education. I loved the self paced school and how the program worked to my benefit and time constraints. I never had an issue with instructors or the software.
