Freshman: It's a small community college, with some great professors and advisors, that being said it's a quiet campus with almost nothing going on after 2 pm. Student don't hang around there are no study groups or people just hanging out getting to know each other. They go to classes and leave. Freshman: Although Bay Mills Community College may be a smaller institution, there are many opportunities to explore. I am currently enrolled in the computer information systems bachelor program, which is one of the three bachelor programs they offer. I have also been fortunate enough to be selected for a student IT technician intern. As a Native American student, attending Bay Mills helps me feel more connected to my culture. Throughout campus there are various Native American activities posted such as learning about the four medicines of our tribe. I honestly can’t think of anything I would really like to change about Bay Mills Community College. As of now there are plans to construct a new building that will enhance our medical related studies as well as additional amenities for students and faculty. Freshman: SMC is such a wonderful environment. All, and I mean ALL of the staff are very kind and respectful. In addition to that, the campus itself is overwhelmingly beautiful. Upon initially going to said school, I immediately presumed and anticipated to feel ostracized by peers, albeit that wasn’t the case. On Orientation Day, I truly felt welcomed by everyone, so much so that now I feel motivated than ever to study. Thanks to SMC, I genuinely look forward to each and every day I wake up. The professors and even my fellow classmates are easily to mingle with, and I personally feel like I have a second family. Honestly, the fact I’m proud to be a Corsair may be an enormous understatement. Overall, I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be able to study at such a prestigious institution.
